# Admin

The admin area starts at `/admin`. Staff and owners use the same account type and enter different venues through venue permissions.

## Sign in and choose a venue

1. Open `/admin` and sign in by phone code or WeChat.
2. If you can manage only one venue, it is selected automatically.
3. If you manage several, switch from the sidebar or the venue selector.

> **No venue yet?**
>
> A signed-in user with no manageable venue sees a setup guide: create an organization, then create the first venue.

## Dashboard

The dashboard shows today's bookings, active queue length, table utilization, and arrival rate, plus a seven-day booking trend and today's peak-hour distribution.

## Booking Management

Use this screen to view and handle one operating day of bookings.

- Switch between timeline, table, and floor-plan views.
- Each booking card supports arrived, no-show, left, cancel, user marks, and edit.
- The edit form autosaves and can change contact details, party size, status, time, table, and staff-only notes.
- Party bookings show joined member count and dietary note count.
- In the floor-plan view, staff can temporarily hold an empty table or create a walk-in hold.

> **Base setup first**
>
> A venue needs rounds, areas, tables, and regular schedules before Booking Management becomes usable.

## Queue Management

Use this screen to handle today's queue.

- Seat the next guest; the system creates a check-in booking and marks it arrived.
- Send call or return reminders, cancel an entry, or postpone it.
- Postponed entries become no-shows when their countdown ends. Use Return when the guest comes back.
- Seated entries can have their actual party size and table corrected.

## Venue setup

Common venue configuration:

| Setting | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Basic Info | Venue name, address, contact details, guest notes |
| Rounds | Bookable time windows |
| Areas | Area groups and guest visibility |
| Tables | Tables and capacity |
| Floor Plan | Floor layout and temporary holds |
| Regular Schedules | Recurring business hours |
| Special Business Dates | Date-specific overrides |
| Operating Rules | Booking cut-off, queue, and other rules |

## Public links

The Public Links screen lets you copy:

- The organization's venue share link
- A venue booking link
- Today's queue QR code, including the date

## Staff invites and permissions

1. An admin generates an invite link from the venue Basic Info screen.
2. The staff member opens the link and signs in.
3. After accepting, the account receives `venue:manage` permission for that venue.

Permissions are scoped per venue, so bookings and queues in different venues stay separate.
