# Reservations

This page covers the guest booking flow. For staff tools, see [Admin](/en/admin/).

## Find a venue

Guests can arrive from an organization share page, a venue link, or search. The venue page shows opening hours, address, phone number, parking guidance, and guest notes.

## Make a booking

1. **Choose date, time, and party size**

Available slots depend on rounds, area capacity, and the venue's booking cut-off. When an area is full, the page may recommend another bookable area in the same venue.
2. **Choose an area preference**

This step appears only when the venue has multiple guest-facing areas. The preference limits which tables you can be assigned.
3. **Sign in and enter contact details**

Signing in is required to submit. A bound phone number is filled in automatically; you can still change it.
4. **Submit and save the confirmation**

The success page shows a confirmation number, booking details, and a check-in QR code. Save the confirmation link for later.

## Confirmation and check-in

- The confirmation link opens without signing in and shows the same booking and check-in QR code.
- Confirmation links and QR codes expire. Show the QR code at the venue for check-in.
- The venue's `note_for_guest` and `additional_note_for_guest` appear on the success page and the shared confirmation page.

## Cancel and change

- Upcoming bookings can be cancelled from the booking detail in My Info. Once a booking has started, the cancel action is no longer available.
- To change time, party size, or table, contact the venue. Staff can edit the booking from the admin area.
- Completed bookings can be reviewed from My Info.

## Table parties

Bookings for two or more guests create a table party:

- The organizer can copy the invite link from the party page.
- Friends can view the venue, address, area, time, and party size anonymously, but must sign in to join.
- Members can submit dietary tags, notes, or explicitly choose "no dietary restrictions".
- The organizer can pause or resume joining, reset the invite link, remove members, and view everyone's dietary information.
- Members can only view their own dietary information. Members who submitted a response can remind the venue.

When the booking is cancelled, completed, or no longer active, the invite link stops working and the party remains as read-only history.

## Notes

> **Blacklist applies to the whole organization**
>
> If an account reaches the organization's no-show threshold, normal bookings and queues are rejected at every venue in that organization. Other organizations are unaffected.

> **Staff-created bookings bypass the blacklist**
>
> Bookings created by staff in the admin area skip the blacklist check by default, so staff can handle exceptions manually.
